This option gives organizations additional SMB over QUIC connection protections but does not change the Windows authentication used to make the SMB connection or the end user experience,” the Windows Insider team explained. “With this new option, administrators can restrict which clients can access SMB over QUIC servers. The last new feature in this build is SMB over QUIC client access control, which improves the existing feature that provides an alternative to TCP network transport. Additionally, Insiders can go to Settings > Privacy & security > Location to choose which apps can access the list of Wi-Fi networks around them, which can be used by apps to determine their location. The Canary build 25977 also introduces new location access prompts when apps try to access your location or Wi-Fi information.
